Ramya to flaunt her curves again for an item song

Ramya is all set to shake her legs for yet another item song. The actress, who flaunted her curves and gyrated to the sexy beats of 'Urigoble padmavathi...' in Johny Mera Naam, is reportedly doing the special number in Kavitha Lankesh's forthcoming Kannada film Crazy Loka.

Reports say that Ramya has given the nod for the raunchy item number. She has okayed after reading the lines of the song penned by Kaviraj. The special song starts off with the line 'Galabe galabe....', says a source.

However, it is not sure when the Sanju Weds Geetha star will participate in the shooting, as she is busy in politics. Imran Sardaria is choreographing the item number for the number composed by Manikanth Khadri.

Crazy Loka, which is being produced by Confident Group, features Ravichandran, Harshitha Poonachcha and Surya in the leads.

Hrithik had to change his workout, diet for Agneepath!

Actor Hrithik Roshan's look in the movie Agneepath made jaws drop and inspired men and wooed women all over the world. But it was not at all easy to get the look and physique in place as per the requirement. Hrithik had to completely change his workout routine and work extremely hard to get that shape which is now called as god made.

His trainer Satyajit Chaurasia, who has been Hrithik’s trainer for 9 years, explains how Hrithik had to go into an extreme regime to get his muscles extremely toned for Vijay Chauhan’s role in Agneepath. His diet was a super protein diet with 12 egg whites, 2 loafs of brown bread, a protein shake, nuts, corn flakes with milk and fruit platter for breakfast. Two roti, green vegetables, 1 whole chicken (during the day), dal, caesar salad, fish platter for lunch.

A sequel to The Dirty Picture?

While Milan Luthria is all ready to wrap up shooting for The Dirty Picture, he is open to the idea of making a sequel to the film. The Dirty Picture, one of the most anticipated Bollywood film for the year, will show Vidya Balan essay the role of late South siren Silk Smitha.

Milan Luthria will soon get into the post-production of The Dirty Picture to ensure that the film releases on December 2, which is the birth anniversary of the late south siren Silk Smitha. Speaking about a sequel to the biopic, Luthria said, “It's a bit early to think of a sequel. If people find it uplifting, then I'll be the first to jump at the opportunity. Balaji and I are not closed to the idea.”

Speaking about the first look of The Dirty Picture to a leading website, Milan Luthria said, “We worked incredibly hard on the first look of the film. As the film is mainstream and commercial in every respect, that had to come through in the poster and trailer.”

As The Dirty Picture is a mainstream film and traces the controversial life of Silk Smitha, it is packed with music, humour and not to mention many intimate scenes involving Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah and Tushaar Kapoor.

Katrina Kaif refuses to don bikini in Dhoom 3?

For all those who are dying to see Katrina Kaif in a bikini in Dhoom 3 are likely to be disappointed! Katrina, who has been cast opposite Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3 has made it clear that she will not wear a bikini in the film.

The Yash Raj Films have in the past got Esha and Bipasha to clad bikini in Dhoom and Dhoom 2 respectively. Whether they did it out of choice or not is not our concern!

However, Katrina, who is also a good friend of YRF scion Aditya Chopra has managed to convince Aditya that it is not essential for her to don a bikini in the film and apparently, Aditya is completely convinced!

Well, this is not the first time that Aditya Chopra has relented. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had also in the past refused to wear a bikini for Dhoom 2.

Abhishek injured again, fractures finger

Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who received six stitches above his right eye earlier this month after an accident on a movie set, has now injured his left finger - during shooting for the same film.

"...I fractured my finger. It's what I would like to call a sympathy wound," Abhishek posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Last time he got injured on the sets of "Bol Bachchan" in Jaipur and this time it happened when the 35-year-old was returning to his hotel room after shooting for the Rohit Shetty film.

Abhishek's father, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who suffered a hairline rib fracture on the sets of "Department", tweeted: "My hairline fracture on rib has a companion - Mr Abhishek Bachchan. He has had a hairline fracture on his finger on shoot in Jaipur for 'Bol Bachchan'."

"Was on his way to the hotel after pack up and the crew playing cricket hit a ball in his direction, which he tried to prevent from hitting his face and damaged his finger. Its got a fracture and he is in a splint and bandage, but operational !!" further added the 68-year-old.

International socialite Paris Hilton, who landed here early Saturday, says she loves India and is excited about her three-day trip.

"Yay! So excited! This is going to be an amazing trip!" Hilton tweeted after stepping into the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here.

The heiress, who is in India to launch the Fall-Winter designs of her handbags, sported a blue jumpsuit when she arrived, amid a flutter of shutterbugs.

"Wow! What a warm welcome into Mumbai. Hundreds of fans and media waiting for me when I landed... I love you India!" she added.

Hilton is staying in Mumbai's JW Marriot hotel and is scheduled to address the media later Saturday. She is expected to meet many celebrities and Bollywood actors at a party organised for her by socialite Queenie Singh Saturday night.

Actor Farhan Akhtar is stunned by the 3D trailer of the much-expected movie Ra.One and he describes the movie as outstanding. The Bollywood filmmaker could not stop exclaiming about it after superstar Shahrukh Khan gave him a sneak peek into the 3D trailer of his mega-budget project.

Farhan Akhtar took to his page to share his excitement about the 3D trailer of Ra.One soon after he watched it on Tuesday. On his Twitter page, the Zindagi Na Milega Dobara star wrote, "@iamsrk showed us two songs and the trailer of RA.One in 3D last night... to put it simply... Outstanding!!!!"

Ranbir Kapoor back on track with Deepika Padukone

Actor Ranbir Kapoor and actress Deepika Padukone, who reportedly dated each other once, are now back on track. The Bachna Ae Haseeno pair is once again joining hands for another movie. The Bollywood duo will star together in the film Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which is directed by Ayan Mukherjee and produced by Karan Johar and his banner Dharma Productions.

Talking about the Ranbir-Deepika's new film, Karan Johar says that the title Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani is a line taken from RD Burman's famous song from the 70s hit movie Jawani Deewani. Censors cut in The Dirty Picture's new trailer

The steamy posters and trailers of Vidya Balan's upcoming movie The Dirty Picture have become a big sensation on the internet. But the new theatrical trailer of the Silk Smitha's biopic has reportedly been objected by the Censor Board, which has asked the makers to cut certain scenes.

Reports suggest that the officials of the Censor Board felt that the second trailer of The Dirty Picture was too explicit and thus not fit for theatrical or television exhibition, unless it is given an 'A' certificate. But the producers wanted U/A rating for the trailer, which would be shown with as many films as possible starting with Shahid Kapoor's Mausam.

According to reports, the Censor Board objected the lovemaking scene between Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah in the car and certain abusive words in Naseeruddin's dialogue. In a bid to get U/A certificate, the bosses of The Dirty Picture have taken necessary action to cut them.

However, Balaji Motion Pictures' CEO, Tanuj Garg has admitted cutting a few scenes. Tanuj says, "The Censor Board felt that a few scenes and words in the trailer might not be appropriate for television and for people watching a U/A film in cinemas. On the other hand, we were clear that we needed a U/A. Hence, we complied with their requests."

Parvathi Melton sizzles in Dookudu item song

We have reported earlier about Parvathi Melton's item song in forthcoming Telugu movie Dookudu. Now, the latest to hear is that the song picturization has been completed and the first look of the number has been released.

Parvathi Melton along with Mahesh Babu and a group of dancers have grooved for the special number titled 'Poovai poovai...'. In the first look, the actress looks wind and gives an impression that the actress would set the screen on fire.

'Poovai poovai...' has already won the hearts of the mass audience. The song, which is composed by Thaman, was picturized at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

Dookudu, which stars Mahesh Babu, Samantha and Prakash Raj in the leads, is directed by Srinu Vytla and jointly produced by Anil Sunkara and Gopichand Achanta. It will hit the screens coming Friday (September 23).

Karan Johar to release Agneepath on Republic Day

Bollywood movie Agneepath, which features Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt in the leads, is scheduled to release on the Republic day, January 26, 2012. The remake of 1990 cult classic was to release on January 13, but producer Karan Johar has deferred its release date to cash in on the long weekend.

Talking to the PTI, Karan Johar said, “Agneepath is definitely a quintessential Indian Film. The original Agneepath released in 1990 acquired a cult status, we are hoping for a super-hit status with this one and the four-day weekend should help us achieve our goal.”

The first trailer, which was released in Mumbai a few weeks ago, has received very good reactions. Especially, Sanjay Dutt's bald look has created lot of curiosity among the movie buffs. The producer has planned to unveil the next trailer in October-November. Meanwhile, Karan Johar is hoping to seal the distributor and satellite deals soon.

However, it should be recalled here that Aamir Khan's Dhuan and Ajay Devgn's Tezz have already been announced to hit the screens on the Republic Day, January 26. Both actors are reportedly sending feelers to each other to postpone the release. Now, producer Karan Johar is joining their fight by scheduling the release of Agneepath on the same day.

AR Rahman lauds V Harikrishna's music for Paramathma

The music of movie Paramathma, which was released into market last week, has received overwhelming response from the music lovers. Interestingly, the songs of Puneet Rajkumar starrer movie have impressed Oscar award winner music maestro AR Rahman. What more do the makers of the movie expect from it than this?

Addressing the audio release function of Paramathma, Yogaraj Bhat shared his excitement about the huge success of the music. The director said, "It was a difficult job to create a wonderful music as we had a tough competition from movies like Jackie and Hudugru. Me and Harikrishna have done lot of hard work for the songs, which have yielded good result."

What makes Yogaraj Bhat happiest man in the world is AR Rahman's appreciation for Harikrishna's music. He added, "Rahman sir happened to listen the Paramathma songs when we were giving final touches to them at his recording house. Impressed by the tunes, he sent an appreciation message to V Harikrishna."

However, Paramathma has five songs and musician V Harikrishna has composed music for the lyrics of Yogaraj Bhat and Jayanth Kaikini. Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Tippu, Harikrishna and Vani Harikrishna have crooned the songs. All the tracks are good to listen and they are sure to become chart-busters.

Katrina Kaif bonds with new buddy Ali Zafar

Katrina Kaif, who is still very close to ex boyfriend Salman Khan and turns to him for advice, has also found a new and reliable friend in Ali Zafar.

Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar, Kat’s co-star in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, are apparently very attached to each other and get along very well. They reportedly hit off on the sets of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and have now taken their friendship beyond the sets.

Ali Zafar, who seemed delighted to have her in the bash even sang a song which he dedicated to the beautiful Katrina. Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra, who seen smooching each other in the 2006 release Krissh will not kiss each other in debutant director Karan Malhotra’s Agneepath.

According to sources, Priyanka and Hrithik will not lock lips in Agneepath.

Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan are two of Bollywood’s sexiest actors, and it will be wonderful to see them share the same chemistry and comfort level they did in Krissh.

PVR Pictures, which is the official distributor of Breaking Dawn in India, has released two new posters of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. The latest pictures of Twilight movie feature lead actors Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. One picture shows Robstein hugging each other passionately while other stars Taylor Lautner standing in a wood.

In one of the posters, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are seen in a steamy clinch as they show off their sparkling wedding rings. In the second poster, Taylor Lautner sports as he is snapped in some eerie woods, with only his wolf-pack for company, while he smoulders at the camera.

Rascals team upset with Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut's absence from the promotional events of her forthcoming film Rascals seems to reconfirm the rumour that all is not well between Kangana and the Rascals team.

Speaking to IANS, Sanjay Ahluwalia, who is co-producing the film along with Sanjay Dutt said, “Kangana has some prior commitments and we also have some issues with her, so that is why she is not promoting Rascals.”

Bipasha Basu's semi nude commercial, which she had shot way back in 1999 in the US, is creating waves all over the internet. The ad is a hit, considering that the video is becoming quite a rage on the internet.

Bipasha Basu had apparently shot for a hot topless commercial for New York Lotto. The sizzling and steamy video showcases Bipasha Basu as a princess who is getting ready for her marriage. Her prince handsome is none other than Vivek Oberoi who obviously looks much younger in the ad.

In the advertisement, Bipasha Basu drops off her clothes, revealing her nude back. The advertisement has been aesthetically shot and has an exotic visual appeal. Traditional classic music plays in the background.

However, this might be a little too bold to appeal to the Indian sensibilities. The video is slowly becoming very popular on the internet.

Priya Anand bags Abhishek Bachchan's film

Priya Anand might not have big hits to her credits but it is not stopping her from getting good offers. The actress, who was recently seen in the Telugu movie 180, is all set to make her Bollywood debut in Abhishek Bachchan starrer movie.

Reports say that Priya Anand is getting a dream launch in Bollywood. The director, who has signed her, is none other than Balki, who delivered successive hits like Cheeni Kum and Paa. The actress is excited because the filmmaker always gives importance to his female characters and the Leader girl too has a meaty role in the forthcoming Bollywood film.

It is said that Priya Anand will join the unit by this month end for the first schedule of the film in New York. The movie will be completely shot in the US. However, it is not sure whether she is pairing up with Abhishek Bachchan or any other actor in the upcoming Bollywood movie.

Mika Singh, Rakhi Sawant's cat fight continues

Mika Singh, who was to do an item song along with Rakhi Sawant for a film reportedly backed out at the last minute.

The official reason given was that Mika Singh already had a solo item song in the film and dancing with Rakhi would only take away the credit for that song.

Getting sarcastic, Mika Singh said, “Main Rakhi ke saath perform karu, aisi uski kismat kahan (she is not so fortunate that I will dance with her)”.

Rakhi's reacted and said, “I just got to know that my enemy is not doing the item song with me. It’s totally his loss. I guess, he is just too old to perform on an item number with me.”

’The Desire’ my last for now: Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty, who is returning to the big screen in a full-fledged role after four years with her delayed project "The Desire", says it is not her comeback but her last in the near future.

"I had taken a break and after this film I have decided that I won't do any movies because my priorities have changed and I want to concentrate on myself, travel, concentrate on my business. So I have decided not to take up any work," Shilpa told IANS in an interview.

"This is not a comeback. Actually this film got delayed; so it seems I am coming back after a long time," added the actress.

Shilpa, who got married to Britain-based Indian businessman Raj Kundra in 2009, wants to focus on her personal life and business, which includes a spa chain.

"This is going to be the last film audiences are going to see me in for some time. So, out of choice I am not going to work for another couple of years. I think if people want to see whatever little I have done, they should go and watch the movie. Marriage is a full-time job...I'll keep doing ads, appearances and television but along with my business," she said.

Shilpa plans to produce movies, but direction is not on the cards. "I haven't thought of it (direction), but I would be definitely producing films, she said."

Shilpa is paired with Chinese actor Xia Yu in "The Desire", directed by journalist-turned-national award-winning Malayalam film director R. Sarath.

The story traces the respective lives of accomplished Odissi dancer Goutami (Shilpa) and talented Chinese artiste Jai Leang (Xia Yu) who meet in Malaysia.

"I have never portrayed a role like this. I liked the script. Considering the fact that dancing has always been my forte I got a role where dancing is an integral part of the film. So I enjoyed doing this part.

"Normally what happens is that you do a film where they force a dance number in. I got to try a different dance form, Odissi. So I learnt it. I got to work with a foremost Chinese actor that was again a different experience," said Shilpa, who was last seen doing an item number in the 2008 hit "Dostana".

"Here we are projecting two forms of art, Chinese paintings and Odissi dancing - the two rich cultural heritages and the amalgamation of these," she added.

"The Desire" was expected to be completed in 2009, but got stalled due to a financial crisis and it has recently been bailed out by Shilpa's mother, Sunanda Shetty, and is ready to hit the screens. The release date has, however, not been decided.

"I am really happy that it has done well at the festival circuit; people loved it. It won an award at the Geneva Film Festival. The most important thing is that mommy came in to support the film," said Shilpa who made her debut with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Baazigar" in 1993.

In her 18-year-long acting career the 36-year-old actress featured in films like "Main Khiladi Tu Anari", "Dhadkan", "Dus", "Life... in a Metro" (2007) and "Apne" (2007). She gained international recognition after featuring and winning Britain's reality show "Big Brother" in 2007.

"The Desire" is Shilpa's first film where most of her dialogues are in English and the actress says initially she felt awkward.

"For the first time I have done my dialogues in English. It was very odd, you know. Imagine saying a dialogue in English; I was wondering whether I am doing it right. It was different. On every front it was a different learning process for me," she said.

The film also features Anupam Kher, Jaya Prada and Vikram Gokhale among others.

"The Desire" is quite a bold film, but there is nothing vulgar, claims Shilpa.

"It's about gender preferences and how everyone has a desire. There is another character who is attracted to me, but I am not attracted towards her. She has a string of affairs but she is chasing me too. There is nothing vulgar in the movie. It's a very aesthetically shot movie," said Shilpa.

Vidya Balan to go nude in Enjoy Your Life?

After Vidya Balan's hot and raunchy act in Ekta Kapoor's The Dirty Picture, Vidya is apparently all set to drop her clothes in her forthcoming film Enjoy Your Life, which will also have veteran Amitabh Bachchan star in the movie.

According to sources, the film requires Vidya to go nude in the film. It is also being reported that Enjoy Your Life will also have Vidya shake her booty in a hot item number!

Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Mere Brother Ki Dulhan has got a flying start at the Box Office. The movie opened to packed theatres in metropolitan cities despite getting mixed reviews.

According to reports, the occupancy in cinema halls for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan was between 80 % to 90 %. In fact, in most of the theatres in metropolitan cities, the movie witnessed 100 % occupancy. The movie has impressed the youth and family audience.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a romantic comedy flick, which is set amongst upper middle class families in northern India. The performances by Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ali Zafar are the major highlights of the film.

Tusshar Kapoor, who is one among the three men to kiss Vidya Balan in The Dirty Picture is eagerly waiting to kiss the beautiful Vidya, who essays the role of late South Indian actress Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture.

Tusshar Kapoor plays the role of a writer by the name Ramakant in The Dirty Picture. While Ramakant is genuinely in love with the character portrayed by Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah essays the character of an ageing superstar who lusts after her. Emraan Hashmi on the other hand hates her.

Tusshar Kapoor and Vidya Balan have apparently already shot many intimate scenes together for The Dirty Picture. However, the famous kissing scene between Tushhar Kapoor and Vidya Balan is yet to take place.

Yash Raj banner has earlier produced movies like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Band Baaja Baaraat, which had marriage as the backdrop. The production house is now back with one more movie on the same subject. But its latest venture Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is totally different and it lives up to the legacy.


Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a romantic comedy flick, which is set amongst upper middle class families in northern India. The performances by Imran Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ali Zafar are the major highlights of the film. Ali Abbas Zafar's wonderful script and direction and Sohail Sen's music are the other attractions of the film.


Inspired by the matrimonial advertisements in newspapers, director Ali Abbas Zafar has created an interesting plot and garnished it with lively characters, which make the film a fun and joyous ride. The subject of the marriage has been used in several Bollywood flick, but the director has managed to be different in its treatment in the movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.


The director has made the first half of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan very interesting by including lots of fun elements. But his story turns bit predictable in the second half, which makes it unexciting. However, the twist in climax also seems to be dragging, but it is enjoyable.


Luv (Ali Zafar) is staying in London and his brother Kush (Imran Khan) is in search of an ideal Indian bride (Dulhan) for him. After an array of encounters with several families, Kush finds a girl-named Dimple (Katrina Kaif), who is the craziest/wackiest girl. Both the families agree for their union. But Kush falls in love with her when the preparations for their marriage are in full swing. What happens next will form the climax of the film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.


Imran Khan is a perfect match for the role and he has done a fabulous acting. As wacky girl, Katrina Kaif's performance is a notch better than her acting in her previous films. And the chemistry between Katrina and Imran is simply superb. Ali Zafar, who is making his acting debut with this film, has an impeccable comic timing. Others like Tara D'Souza, Parikshit Sahni and Kanwaljeet Singh are also good in their respective roles.


Besides having admirable performances, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan has also got rich technical elements. Mainly Sohail Sen's music is beautiful and it suits the mood of the film. Its songs are both mass as well as class. The soundtracks like 'Dhunki...', 'Choomantar...', 'Madhubala...' and the title song are excellent. Sudeep Chatterjee's cinematography and Bosco-Caesar's choreography also add to the beauty of the movie.


In a nutshell, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a wholesome entertainer with a tender story. It can be good time-passer for this weekend. Don't miss it.

Siddique on success and Salman

This man knows his craft well. He might be tongue-tied when it comes to Hindi, but was sharp enough to get the pulse of its people right. The way Siddique brought in subtle changes in the thread of 'Bodyguard' while adapting it to Bollywood, speaks volumes about his expertise.

But, talking to him you realise what makes him more worthy of a standing ovation is the way he wards off fame and success from going to his head. The simple and well-liked director speaks to Manoramaonline on 'Bodyguard' and much more.

Was success of such high proportions expected?
I was hopeful. But, this is an overwhelming experience, much beyond my wildest dreams. Within 6 days of its release, the film has reached the 100 crore mark. I am happy that my endeavour has been well-received. 'Kavalan' had to fight its way out. But, this time, I think the on-screen chemistry shared by Salman and Kareena proved to be decisive.

What is so special about 'Bodyguard'?
I would say it is the story. The thread of the story was unique and strong. It was fresh and romantic as well. In all the three versions, the main characters were played by popular actors. Bodyguard owes its success to its entire crew. However, I had made certain changes in the script each time. Producer Atul Agnihotri too gave me tremendous support.

The best among the three pairs?
Comparison is not fair. All three pair of actors are unique in their own ways. They were most suitable to that particular script. The treatment too was different in each case. All the three pairs performed brilliantly before the camera.

Homework?
I was confident about the subject. I had got many offers from Bollywood even before. But, I was relectant as I wanted to make my entry to Bollywood a memorable one. I was waiting for such a script to come my way. In this case, I knew from the beginning that Salman could bring this role to perfection. When he saw the Malayalam version, Salman too agreed to do it without a second thought.

Lovely Singh?
Salman was the most obvious choice for Lovely Singh's role. I don't think the film would have made it this big, if some other actor had performed in the lead role. Lovely Singh was one character that Salman's fans wanted to a see him as.

The Billion club?

I was literally flooded with congratulatory messages. Including Mammootty, almost all of them from the industry rang me up. Mammukka, who is more like an elder brother to me said that this success was a reward that God gave me for my hard work.

But, I will never distance myself from Mollywood. Many offers are coming.. I will go for the best ones.

How do you see this huge success?

Naturally, I am delighted. But no success, however big it may be, can ever change the person that I am. In fact, hits make me more responsible. With every superhit film, the burden of expectation also goes up.

Dookudu will release in 900 screens

Considering the abuzz around the movie, the makers of Dookudu has decided to release the movie with record number of prints. The movie will hit the screens on September 23, worldwide.

If reports are to be believed, Dookudu will release in 900 screens. However, the makers of the film have not confirmed about the exact number of prints. Currently, the movie is busy filming an item song on Parvathi Melton and Mahesh Babu at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

The first copy of the film will be ready by September 16th and it will go for censor on September 19th. The movie, which stars Mahesh Babu, Samantha and Prakash Raj in the leads, is directed by Srinu Vytla and jointly produced by Anil Sunkara and Gopichand Achanta.

The film is about the once-severely-criticised painter Raja Ravi Varma (1848-1906) from Kerala, who painted without inhibition. It has been adapted from the Marathi biographical novel Raja Ravi Varma by Ranjit Desai.

However confident and bindaas Vidya Balan might have seemed on the sets of The Dirty Picture, insiders say that the actress was extremely uncomfortable shooting in bizzare costumes and had to engage in a lot of mental conditioning before stepping out in those shocking clothes.

Vidya Balan had shocked everyone after pictures of her forthcoming film The Dirty Picture was made available to the public. The outrageous costumes she wore in the film portraying the real life of late Silk Smitha became the talk of the town.

In reality though, director Milan Luthria apparently had to sit with Vidya for a long time while she shared her inhibitions with him. Vidya Balan along with Milan went though hundreds of costume trials before they could come up with the appropriate look required for the screen.

However, what matters is the end result!

Speaking to a leading website, Milan Luthria said, “Ekta Kapoor and I was zapped by where she has taken this character. Frankly, she has made the written material her own. She is Silk. Period.”
